Sisan · Hupao Hotel

The emphasis on "present" is the consensus of designer Xie Ke and Architect Wang Chi. It lays the main axis for the design of Sisan Hupao 1934 Hotel, connects with the "literati temperament" of the Hangzhou landform, and combines the common hall, hall, and corridor layout in China with the Western construction to form three buildings that are related, integrated with the environment and modest.

对“当下”的强调，是设计师谢柯与建筑师王驰的共识，为夕上·虎跑1934酒店的设计埋下主轴，和杭州地貌的“文人气质”相连，采用了与中国常见的厅、堂、廊布局方式与西方建构结合在一起，中正、平和，以此形成了三栋有关联、与环境共融又谦逊的建筑。

The bamboo forest necessary for entering the hotel continues in the form of fence, bamboo weaving, bamboo grain cement and so on. The tone of the hotel is to make people feel at ease and tranquility, and focus on "the body feeling of residents", which has become the focus of design narrative. The vivid narrative of space depends on the subtlety of the on-the-spot strain, the participation of time and people, the dilution of impetuous, rich and mediocre, and the poetic nature of the painting. The pattern of moderation, freedom and tranquility is based on the "heart to heart connection" between architecture and environment. The hotel has become a layered aesthetic container with four seasons as the background, shaping the poetic and spiritual beauty of the space in the superposition of the new and the old.

进入酒店必经的竹林以围栏、竹编、竹纹水泥等形式在建筑与室内延续。酒店基调是让人安心与安宁，将重心放在 “居住者的体感”上，成为设计叙事的着眼点。空间的生动叙事性在乎即景应变的精巧，引时间和人的参与，冲淡浮躁、丰盈平庸，得画境亦得诗性。节制、自在与清幽的格局，根基来自于建筑与环境互之间的“心意相通”。酒店成为以四季为背景、层次分明的美学容器，在新与旧的叠合中，塑造空间的诗性与灵智之美。

In the process of transformation, the 'strengthening the bones' approach was employed to preserve the original architectural character to the greatest extent, with a focus on reversibility. Following the logic of contemporary living, the spatial usage attributes were carefully refined to create a harmonious relationship between the space and the environmental form. This allows the original building to align with the temporal logic, retaining its historical charm while accommodating modern functionality. The materials' warm and tactile qualities engage in a dialogue with the ever-growing elements outside the window.

在改造过程中，采用“健筋骨”的方式，最大限度的保持了原建筑的风貌，具备可逆性。按照当代生活的逻辑改变空间的使用属性，小心翼翼地完善空间与环境形态，使原建筑在旧有气质和现代使用中，形成符合时间逻辑的“关系”。材料的温润触感和时间痕迹对话着窗外自生自长的万物。

Sisan Hupao Hotel conveys the elegance of Jiangnan culture, blending humanistic creations with the picturesque landscape of mountains and waters. It seamlessly integrates historical aesthetics into the present-day living scenery, effectively concealing Hangzhou within a resort hotel.
