Kaipuu On The Reef Hotel is a boutique hotel nestled along the coastline of the southern peninsula in Quanzhou, Fujian. Operating under the Kaipuu brand, which means "desire," it epitomizes a deep yearning for uncharted lands and celebrates a new philosophy of finding contentment in the present moment when it comes to travel.

The hotel is constructed on the rocky seashore, maintaining the original features of the coastal rocks in its lobby. The lobby extends 270 degrees, providing an expansive seascape, while situated adjacent to the crescent-shaped sandy beach, creating a serene abode overlooking the water.

A new order is established from the moment you step inside. The designer has carefully honed the entrance steps to seamlessly coexist with the rocks. Stepping inside, you are treated to a unique panorama framed by nature, where sea and sky blend seamlessly. The entire space, from colors to lighting and layout, has been meticulously orchestrated. Unlike the vast expanse of sea and sky outdoors, upon entering the lobby, the design begins with a chapter of restrained elegance. A clean and orderly corridor uses columns with a strong sense of sequence, a muted gray color palette, and the tranquil glow of candlelight to shield the hustle and bustle of the outside world, all complemented by generous open spaces.

新的秩序从入户开始被重新建立，设计师将台阶打磨成与礁石共生融合的姿态，迈入其中，便独享一份被自然框景的“海天一色”。整个空间的色彩、光影、秩序被理性梳理，与室外的海天辽阔不同，进入大堂，设计启幕了欲扬先抑的序章，干净利落的游廊以极具序列感的柱石、米灰色调和静谧的烛光来屏蔽嘈杂的干扰，配合大量的留白空间。

The original rocky formation, extending into the lobby, is a gift from nature and serves as the central narrative of the space. This massive arched expanse imparts a sense of tranquility and the timeless passage of time the moment you step inside. The design unifies and amplifies this unique beauty, with a focus on structure and materials. The vertically segmented staircase unfolds like an open scroll, and the substantial stone blocks are stacked, engaging in a dialogue with the natural rocks opposite. Stone columns, stone materials, and the natural rocks form a new order, emphasizing simplicity and a connection with nature beyond the function of check-in. Standing before the windows, it feels as if the hotel is embracing Quanzhou's Three Bays, offering a place of refuge and solitude, and revealing the solemn and poetic beauty beneath the enormous rocks.

延伸并保留至大堂的原始礁石，是被自然赐予的礼物，成就了空间的主体叙事，如偌大的弧形场域，人在进入的那一刻，感受到时间沉淀的静谧，设计统一、放大了这样的美感，将重点放在结构和材质上，竖向分隔的楼梯成为一组打开的画卷，大体量的石块成堆叠之势，与对面的天然礁石展开对话，石柱、石材、礁石形成新的秩序，保留check-in的功能之外，以退隐的方式凸显清素的自然，站在窗景前，如同泉州三湾向大堂展开拥抱，人们在此寻找庇护和独处，收获巨石之下肃穆的诗意之美。
